SLB Private Collection
The April Program begins on Monday, April 4th so this week is a gap week. I have a new Body Parts: Spine workout that will be dropping in-studio mid-week. If you’ve been following The Program, I recommend moving how you feel. But please do not slack off just because there is no “new” content. No excuses. Think about the workouts you’ve missed or haven’t done.
If you’re looking for some inspiration, take a look at our Private Collection from December 2021. I’ll be updating it with some of my personal favorites from 2022 (like last week’s Uh-Huh). I have quite a few new faves that I’m adding to this list.
I’m excited to share with you how I practice. I have I like to call it Intuitive Mindful Movement. I guide you weekly, but I rarely follow a schedule myself. This week, I’m giving you a compass. Inhale and tap into your mood, then exhale, explore and click through what’s turning you on. You may find this a bit challenging but I promise that it will help you develop a better relationship with movement and yourself.
Your Mood
How do you feel today? Energetic? Confident? Tired? And how do you want to feel today? If you’re a bit tired why don’t you try something soft? Or maybe you want to wakeup with something energizing and long? Feeling sexy? A short (or long) dancey Cardio + Sculpt always does the trick. Cold and tight? Get grounded. Reading our mood helps us listen to what we really need and turns fitness into a much more intentional act.
So Let’s Begin
You’ll find some of my personal favorites in-studio under these categories. You might see something you’d like or it may inspire you to choose something you love that’s entirely different.

TO FL♡︎W. Everything that comes to us, comes to pass or, more accurately, for us to pass on. Not just the money in our pocket, but wisdom, objects, ideas, even opportunities, all come to us – so that at the right moment, we can pass them on. This is called flow. Bringing in the flow means being aware that the river of life is flowing to us at every moment, being in the flow means accepting whatever comes and putting it to good use, before passing it on. Going with the flow means allowing whatever comes to move on freely, without holding on in any way. If we do not pass on, we are trying to block the flow, and that’s when we feel pressure in our life. Pressure is always self-inflicted. Every time you feel “under pressure” look what you need to release and to pass on to someone else, once you do you can…..relax….again. - Unknown

TO L♡︎VE (2♡︎). I’ve been thinking about how we fall in love and how love changes and evolves over time. We fall in love with who the other is at that moment. Then, as time passes and people change, love changes and evolves. It never seems to be what it was because we aren't who we were. Love, was that moment like a polaroid developed at that instant.
Today I want you to write yourself a love note with the mantra: “I am powerful, strong and beautiful. I love every part of my body and every part of my body loves me.” Place it on your bathroom mirror and each morning after you shower/move, repeat it instead of critiquing your imperfections.

When you feel love, try to hang on to it and ask yourself how you can transfer the emotion towards yourself. I like to light a candle and listen to music, or move my body and wear something that makes me feel sexy. SLB is literally like a support system for your soul. So many of you ask me what I recommend when you need a pick-me-up. If I’m not feeling confident and I want to feel my power I turn to Cardio + Sculpt. Standing Abs always really centers me, and whenever I want to really feel mentally and physically strong I turn to Sculpt. Combine all three every week for the best results. This week is no different and we’re beginning with sculpt.

SLB is evolving and it reminds me so much of the duality of the Yin-yang concept. To have a full digital studio with different ways to practice that work for everyone’s life along with teaching in person has always been my goal. I hope those of you who are taking our group programs are enjoying the experience so far. Teaching truly gives me life like no other.
In Ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang ("dark-light", "negative-positive") is a concept that describes how opposite forces may actually be complementary and interconnected.
The theory of Yin and Yang says that everything that surrounds us is made up of two opposite forces that harmoniously unify to favor movement and, in turn, change. So, while Yin symbolizes the feminine, darkness, water, intuition, and the ability to nurture life, Yang is all about momentum, the masculine, luminosity, expansion, and fire. We all recognize the symbol of Yin and Yang. And although the symbol is rooted in Chinese philosophy (and religion) it can also be said that this concept and display of duality brings harmony to life.
This week’s content is really special and I hope you get to OMG if you haven’t yet. OMG was released last Wednesday, so if you haven’t tried it with the re-released playlist please do.
