As many of you may know, the past few year has been a difficult one for me and I had to take some things off my plate ( a regular newsletter was one of them) but I’m happy to be back in your inbox!
It’s definitely going to be one hell of a summer. I’ve been working behind the scenes and I’m so excited to bring you the new slb! How’s your subscription changing? FULL LENGTH
Pas Mal means "not bad" in French. Perfect for the top of the month or when you're wanting a great sweat in under 40 min. Pas Mal combines double breakdown cardio with a brief crazy arms series along with weighted lunges and curtseys in a Cardio + Sculpt + Cardio format. You'll need light to medium weights and a mat. Lift heavy for a challenge.
Days Later is when you'll feel all the fitness we fit into this 35-min grounded to standing core sculpt. It begins with abs on the mat then transitions to a standing core 3x3 with a brief breakdown that includes 30 pushups. All you'll need is a mat and light weights for grounded abs. Wrist weights to challenge during standing sculpt.

Drew is a 49-min single weighted standing sculpt with a original format and a breakdown that I think you’re going to love. It’s a compound and multi-directional sculpt with a great flow. You’ll need one medium to heavy weight and a mat.

Pour yourself into this incredibly compound and multi-directional sculpt. It flows rapidly. Pour is a full-body light to medium sculpt with a 4x4 format. You’ll need light to medium weights and a mat.
Gloria is a 45-min single weight cardio + sculpt with choreo that gets straight to the point and includes extra breakdown reps. Imo, Gloria is the meaning of CCS cardio perfection blending a little hip sass and big impact moves with basic sculpting and core balance work. This week feels so good. We’re featuring Alien this week since it was released on Thursday last week. Don’t let the length turn you off or the choreo frustrate you, you will get it! Alien is 53-minutes so If you’re short on time, sub in Into It. If you’re looking for something completely different, do 1999. Your new full-length sculpt, Lucite drops mid-week. If you’re practicing before it’s released, sub in Eyes Closed.

Lucite clears your head. I think you’re going to like this one, it includes multi-tasking compound movement using light weights. This isn’t a hamster on a wheel workout - you’ll have to use your brain.

1999 is a 45 minute basic cardio + sculpt at the barre. A mix of our core basic barre cardio and sculpt, I re-developed this workout last week so that it’s more appropriate for most of you. You’ll need one medium to heavy weight and a chair or barre.
Eyes Closed is our first 4x4 workout which includes four sets of ten on each side along with a shorter breakdown. I love the standing to grounded flow of this one. I recommend wrist weights to challenge and a mat.

Main is one of those core workouts that really should be in our rotation as much as possible! Revisit this whenever you want to tone it all in under 25-minutes. It begins with our official grounded core abs sequence and moves to glutes, triceps, weighted back work and grounded fold-over.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. This week I want you to really shift the focus to you. Try to make choices each day that show YOU that you are choosing you. It is through your actions, the ways you nurture and care for yourself, create healthy routines & rituals, and push to expand your mindset, that you show yourself true love and care. I’m excited to share with you some of the ways that I practice choosing me.

It's a standing to grounded total-body weighted sculpt with a two-part breakdown. Time flies even if you're lifting heavy. You'll need medium to heavy weights and a mat.

Named after the root of longevity, Ho Shou Wu is a Body Part workout that focuses on the back. All you’ll need is a mat.

LB'S FAVORITE REBOUNDERS FOR YOUR BUDGET
Rebounding is super fun and provides major health benefits from boosting balance, digestion, lymphatic drainage and immune function. Rebounding is also more than twice as effective as running without extra stress on the ankles and knees.
Rebounding is unique since it uses the forces of acceleration and deceleration and can work on every cell in the body. When you bounce, acceleration occurs as you bounce up, then a split-second weightless pause at the peak, a deceleration at an increased G-force on the way down, then impact to the rebounder, and you repeat.
In general, the more springs a rebounder has, the better it tends to be. However, the better a rebounder is, the more you’ll pay. Regardless of your budget, I don’t believe that you need to spend more than $250 on an at-home rebounder. And you don’t need a bungee rebounder…don’t believe the hype. Springs work just fine. Over the last ten years I’ve used many brands and can recommend a great one for almost every budget.
Here’s what to look for:
Comfort: Like a car, all rebounders have a different feel. Some will feel great jumping barefoot, and with some you’ll want to save your soles and wear shoes. If you prefer jumping with sneakers, you’ll be able to spend less. But, if you’re planning on jumping 15 minutes daily, a couple times a week, or a few times a month and you prefer working barefoot, you might want to spring for a comfier one.
Bounce: You’ll sink into some rebounders and they’ll give you a lot more bounce, while others will be firm and give you barely any bounce at all. Bounce has nothing to do with quality, it really all depends on the type of workout you want. If it’s for cardio (LB rebounder workouts for sure!) then choose a bouncier one; if it’s mainly for lymphatic drainage, get a tighter one and stay low. Low bouncing is easier and you won’t get as tired.
Frame Quality: If you get a rebounder with a lousy frame, it will wear over a short period of time. If you’re going to be using it heavily, get one that can withstand some bouncing. Some rebounders fold up for easy storage, so if you’re tight on space, keep that in mind. Personally I’m not a fan of the foldable ones. Some take two people to fold and lock into place, and god forbid your finger gets caught in there. They sorta scare me, but I’m also scared of bees so…
Here are my top four rebounder picks in three price ranges. Honestly, I don't love any rebounder in the $100-$150 range, most have straight legs so they walk away from you as you jump and most tend to be pretty noisy.
1. Jumpsport Model 250 ($249). I have this one at home and it's top of the line. I love it b/c the frame is sturdy and slightly smaller, it's super lightweight, and the arched legs keep it still on the ground during the highest of jumps. You can also adjust the firmness and tension which is awesome. The 250 gives you freedom of movement because you can jump on those padded petals, so there's a lot more surface area. This one will last you for life - even with heavy usage.
2. Jumpsport Model 220 ($229) Just like the model 250, but the 220 gives you less jumping area without the petals but still provides a LOT of bounce and all the bells and whistles.
3. Ancheer Rebounder ($62-$78) These models are sturdy and one folds up twice, but all are firm with a low bounce. If you prefer staying low or are tall and have low ceilings these are a great option.
4. Stamina Folding Rebounder ($31.89) This quiet little rebounder comes in chic colors and folds up if you're looking to save space. It's very reasonably priced but is a starter model so I'm guessing this will last you six months to one year if you're planning on jumping one hour daily/5x a week. This one is a great option if you're looking to jump in and then upgrade in time.

It’s officially spring and this time of year always feels so mutable to me. Something or someone that is mutable is subject to change. Mutable weather can go from sunny, to rainy and windy, and back to sunny again. The word mutable originally had a negative connotation, and it referred to a person, usually a poet, who frequently changed his mind and moods, but it’s not. I like to think about it positively and also in terms of feminine flow.
With the start of the new season I always recommend easing in by doing what you feel and moving how you feel regardless of what the schedule says. I’m here to guide you as our playlists are live in the app. I’ve developed three new workouts this week: James is a 22-min Cardio Core, White Noise is a really effective standing to grounded 45-min sculpt with a classic format and break down, and Amplifier is a 12-min abs Body Parts workout.

A B-Sides (flip-side) is a secondary recording that typically receives less attention and is often considered filler but is usually better than the A-Side. Throughout my career I’ve been known for transforming the booty with unique programming and choreography. B-Sides is a total-body workout with an emphasis on the glutes and lats without a bridge in the lineup. You’ll just a mat and a set of weights to use for modifying.

This week you’re in the driver’s seat with non-traditional grounded multiplane compound movement and standing balance work, and it all just really works. Our new full length sculpt lands this afternoon, along with our schedules but everything is live in the app. If you’d like to begin with sculpt today, sub in Lift It Higher.

Wolf is a 49-min medium to heavy weighted 3x3 with a five rep breakdown and a fantastic flow. You'll feel this one everywhere as it's total-body, but your arms and core are working the entire time and the lower body works overtime with a foldover sequence and a pick up. You’ll medium to heavy weights and a mat. If you’d like a sub, Lift It Higher is perfect.
Daddy is a 50-minute classic weighted classic Cardio + Sculpt that’s built from Bubblin’ with extra reps and more sweat. Watch your back and modify the Get Up if you have any back issues. You’ll need a variety of weights and a mat.

Bamba is a 12-min Body Parts workout that's grounded, weighted and really hones in on the inner and outer thighs and obliques.
QUICK BURN
Spirited is non-traditional, compound, grounded and effective. You'll need a mat and possibly some extra padding for the side lying hip work. There is straddle work and leg sliding so I recommend going barefoot for this one.
Suki (means beloved) is the first workout in our new Meditative Movement category, Present. I’m excited to expand on this work and slowly bring you into this world. All you’ll need is a mat, and possibly extra padding for the knees.
Oh Hey (Again) is an 18-min standing Core Sculpt that is our signature SLB Barre sequencing. You’ll need a sturdy chair or a barre. I developed this classic series in 2006 and everything we do at the barre and standing builds upon this sequence.
Lotus is a 30-minute grounded, Pilates-based mat session that lengthens and strengthens the core. At 30-minutes flat this workout fits both the full length and Quick Burn categories and its great for all levels. You’ll need light to medium weights and a mat.

QUICK BURN
Our Third Eye, also known as Ajna chakra, is an invisible eye usually located on the forehead. It's power is to boost perception of things that can't be seen by your eyes. This mystical eye is part of what is called "the subtle body," which means that while it can't be seen, it's considered an important force in governing how prana (energy) moves within the body. This QB is a serious weighted body booster with insight to help see you through. You’ll need one medium to heavy weight.
Arsenal begins with a 7-min high energy cardio series to increase the heart rate for optimal fat burn while we sculpt the booty via weight bearing work. You'll see Frogger in cardio and 30 reps of Pike Kickbacks, Rainbow Kick Backs and Donkey Crossovers in the sculpting. Expect to be dripping by then end and repeat the cardio after the sculpting for extra burn. You’ll need ankle weights and a mat.
Sig is a perfect example of our signature SLB Sculpting workouts. Total-body, multi-directional and well-balanced. Lift heavy for greater cardiovascular output. You’ll need medium to heavy weights and a mat.
2/20/23 SLB
This week, I’ve got your back. We’re taking a step back in time this week but it really all works well together. Our content is very core-intensive as usual, but if you suffer from low back tightness please modify during Laid. There’s a new category (Grounded Cardio) hitting the studio this week and I think you’re going to love it.

Floating is our first full length grounded cardio workout. Total body and perfect for when you’re not feeling impactful cardio. Floating drips in on Wednesday.

I know you guys are all dripping back in. I’m thrilled for you to try our new 4x4 format and I have exciting news this week…
FULL LENGTH
Eyes Closed is our first 4x4 workout which includes four sets of ten on each side along with a shorter breakdown. I love the standing to grounded flow of this one. I recommend wrist weights to challenge and a mat.
Stack the Deck and return to power is what we’re doing right now. Compound cardio combined with posterior sculpting in a cardio > sculpt > cardio format. You’ll need medium to heavy weights and a mat.
Acid is 50-min of our signature SLB barre-based cardio + sculpt. It begins with classic cardio on the mat and at the barre then transitions to barre sculpting with a breakdown.
BODY PARTS
Top (Abs) This week we’ll be on the knees targeting the abs from all angles. You’ll need a mat and possibly an extra mat or towel to pad the knees.
QUICK BURN
Risen is the higher power of standing abs. You'll love the flow. No equipment, but wrist weights to increase cardiac output and overall burn.

I named it Bunny as I'm always inspired by the Playboy bunny and Jessica Rabbit around Valentine's Day. I felt as if my back and waist (muffin top) were reborn after this one. Don't skip it. Aha got its name from the aha moment I had while I was developing it. Aha is the shortened and grounded version of this week's, Wheels. Take your time with this and add on wrist weights for a major arm and abs burn. You’ll need Wrist weights and a mat. Extra padding if needed.
Lotus is a 30-minute grounded, Pilates-based mat session that lengthens and strengthens the core. At 30-minutes flat this workout fits both the full length and Quick Burn categories and its great for all levels.
