Otherwise, begin the week with The Natural or with our grounded cardio option, Allmighty. Disco Nap and Palo Santo. Workouts are listed in studio in the order I’d like you to do them.

If you’re practicing from EST or WET/UTC and are getting started early in the morning, I recommend getting your form in check and beginning with this week’s Full Length Sculpt, Meraki which is in studio. Schedules will be live here and workouts are listed in the order I’d love for you to do them in.

full length

Meraki (v.) is a Greek word meaning something done with soul, creativity, or love; to put something of yourself into your work. Meraki is a 38-min core sculpt that works it all on the mat (grounded) and standing. You'll need light to medium weights and a mat.

No equipment or challenge with wrist weights (beginners challenge with ankle weights).

Portal is a great segue into our Cardio-Cheer-Sculpting technique and our longer, full-length workouts. It’s a perfect combo of cardio and light weight standing and grounded core sculpting.

PUSHING YOUR LIMITS

Think you’ve hit your ceiling? You haven’t, I promise.

Same diet, same exact workout, same length of time on the mat, (with the same mods), and same comfort zone? Check out my six tips that will help you test your limits, become more connected to movement, push through the good pain, and your next SLB workout.

Go beyond aesthetics. Sure, having a killer bod is a side effect of SLB, but for a lot people, “wanting to look hot” isn’t something that they’re actually emotionally connected to. I’ve found that thinking about strength is more powerful when your trying to power through a plateau.

Break it up. Less can be more. Think about finishing in smaller increments or choose a Quick Burn and give it your all. Cutting the full length into two, 25-minute halves is a lot less daunting and you won’t have that pit of dread that usually starts brewing long before you press play.

Stop watching the numbers. Be present. Being fixated on reps, calorie burn, or how many minutes you have left will only make the time pass more slowly, and will keep you from ever getting fully mentally “in the zone” and in your body. If it’s a hard habit to break, put a piece of tape over the time counter on your screen or your HR monitor.

Know your WHY. I say it all the time, but it’s so important to know and connect to and with your true north.

Really feel it. Find something you enjoy about what you’re doing. I always like to feel like I’m punching above my weight. You’re doing SLB because on some sick level, you enjoy it, right? Remember that. Consider what you “like” about it so that you enjoy the sensation of building muscle rather than just thinking of it as just a painful experience.

Be grateful for the body and mind that allows you to move. When I teach and our hearts are in our throats, I like to remind people what a privilege it is that they can move. It’s easy to forget that being able to work out is a gift. You’re SO BEYOND lucky you get to do 100 squats and lunges.

12/27/23 SLB

Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day to all…I’m feeling festive with you! This week’s workouts are in-studio listed in the order that I’d like you to do them.

Pick and choose your full length workouts depending on the time you have. Wednesday and Saturday are typically Quick Burn days —Feel free to do a single or double up for a greater burn. The January Program begins on 1/8.

In the forest it smells dank yet fresh, and in the city you can smell the blend of hot concrete and cool rain. This 31-min grounded Body weight Recovery utilizes a foam roller and can really be both a Quick Burn and a shorter full length workout. You'll feel good (and sore) and it really targets the upper body and core while releasing tension and muscle soreness.

Bikini Lovers is a 30-min next-level Standing Core Sculpt. The step provides a level change that really increases cardio output while the multi-directional sequencing challenges your balance and body. Please make sure you're utilizing a stable step that can support you. You'll initially feel this in your glutes and deep core. This one is appropriate as a Quick Burn or as a short full-length.

“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and and it can crash. Become like water my friend.” - Bruce Lee

Narcissist is a 21-min QB that really hones in on the abs and hips from all angles. All you'll need is wrist weights to challenge.

Flowers grow from the ground just as your core is built from the ground up. This brief but effective QB is perfect for when you want to focus on the rectus (six-pack). Ankle weights for extra burn.

11/27/23 SLB

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday filled with friends, family, love and gratitude. I had a very much-needed friendsgiving that rolled right into my birthday on Saturday. And the best gift that I received was that the city cleared my studio as structurally safe. I was allowed back in so that I can begin to move out, and they can start the two (Imo, three with the holiday) month long process of pulling permits and then rebuilding it.

I love this studio and I was literally just opening in-person and expanding our online studio. It’s so interesting how the universe works, isn’t it? I’m allowing things to happen as they should.

I will begin the week with live workouts that will be saved along with a few great ones from the library. If you take our live streaming workouts that are recorded, you will not be seen by anyone other than me during the workout and also in the recording. Our new VOD content (The Program) will land mid-week.

Workouts are listed in studio playlists in the order that I recommend that you do them. I hope you all have a wonderful week!

The November Program

Happy Halloween! This month is a busy one as this week marks the official start of the holiday season.

I had to make a decision on when to hold our gap week. This week is technically the fifth week of October (November begins on Wednesday) and Thanksgiving lands during week four. Historically, you all prefer new content post-Thanksgiving, so we’re going to begin the November Program on November 6th and run through the end of the month instead of taking a gap week post-holiday on Monday, November 27th.

Since October was a little light due to Activation, I have a new 32-minute full body grounded sculpt, Wasabi landing in-studio today along with our schedules, mid-week. You’ll see this in the October Program listed under Week five. If you’re practicing early, please do your favorite full-length cardio + sculpt or whatever you’re feeling.

Stay tuned, I have exciting news landing this week!

10/15/23 SLB

It’s Activation week! Last week we challenged with upper body (90 push-ups alone in New Thought) and this week I’m challenging you with extra movement.

New content will begin to drip in on Monday via live streamed workouts. I will be live streaming from Ibiza, Spain and these workouts will be recorded and saved in-studio. If you’re practicing in the AM, please begin with Heaven or High Priestess (if you’re following the QB schedule) located in the October Program, in studio. Take it in hand…

Throughout my career I’ve been known for transforming the booty with unique programming and choreography. B-Sides is a total-body workout with an emphasis on the glutes and lats without a bridge in the lineup. You’ll need weights for modifying and a mat.

LB Activation Portugal Essentials & Tips

We’re headed to Alentejo, Portugal! The weather will be beautiful. You can expect it to be warm and sunny during the day and a little chilly at night. We’ll be exploring the countryside and working out in the yoga pavilion, on the beach, in the pool, and heading out on the road (like, hiking and walking to the beach).

I tend to pack light and re-use outfits whenever I can.

Our Activation workouts are hybrid (think: half pool and half studio), so you’ll want supportive bathing suit tops and items that you don’t mind getting dirty on the beach.

We will be in the country, so high heels or anything too dressy isn’t really necessary.

Activation Essentials:

  • 1-2 regular bras

  • 3-5 sports bras

  • 2-3 bathing suits

  • Plenty of socks

  • Underwear

  • 2 pairs of workout shorts

  • 2-3 workout tops

  • 1-2 pairs workout pants

  • 2 casual sundresses/cover ups

  • 1-2 long sleeve tops (it gets chilly at night)

  • 1-2 pair of long pants

  • 2-3 casual outfits for dinner at the hotel or going into town for tapas

  • A HAT for beach/pool workouts

  • A pair of sneakers

  • A pair of flip flops or sandals

  • Sunscreen

  • A packable beach bag (We received feedback that a backpack is optimal for when you have to run/walk back from the beach)

  • Tiger Balm

  • Reusable water bottle

  • Some cash (EUR) – You can pay with a card at our hotel, but if you want to buy something in town, some places are cash only

  • Credit card

  • Passport

  • Medication (your prescriptions, allergies, etc.)

  • Personal First Aid Kit (Bandaids, Knee/ankle braces if you use them for exercise, etc.)

  • Probiotics/Immune Boosting Supplements

  • Hand Sanitizer/Disinfectant Wipes

What you don´t need:

If you want to lighten your load, Quinta Camerena has: Pool towels, Yoga mats, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, wet suits and surf boards (they are included in the class price if you choose to surf).

LB Activation Tips:

  • Don't over-pack, you'll be living in your swimsuit + workout gear.

  • Consider taking Probiotics. Taking probiotics leading up to and throughout the trip may help you combat any digestive issues or upset stomachs that tend to be pretty common when traveling outside of the country.

  • Please bring your own personal first aid kit.  You may need something for pain, sore muscles (clear-colored tiger balm), cramps, allergies/sinus, PMS, upset stomach, ear plugs, band-aids, Dramamine, sea bands, zinc, after sun balm, or any medications that you take on a regular basis.  If you have ankle or knee issues, don't forget your brace.
