CHANNELING LOVE

Ah, Valentine’s Day. Run! I’m half-kidding. I love love, but I’ve always been a bit of a cynic about February 14th because it feels like there is SO much pressure and anxiety around romantic love. It feels a bit forced, right? And, I feel it’s important to express all the love, lust, gratitude and passion that we feel year round.

V-Day will always be a Hallmark holiday imo, but since love and passion in all forms literally makes the world go round we should celebrate all of our relationships from our girlfriends, SO, lovers, family and friends. If you like or love someone, tell them. If they make you feel anything within the essence of good—memorable, impassioned, loved, happy, sexy, alive, turned on… for chrissakes let them know, right? It’s so important to love deeply and freely, and let go of the sh*t that doesn’t matter all year long. Think of the friends that held us post-breakups, in-laws that treat us as their own, our parents, the people that make us smile and help us not feel alone…I can go on and on. It will make you think about the holiday a little bit differently.

This year, I’ve decided to be more open-minded and reframe my approach to V-Day, and just be more OPEN to it. And, since movement and Cardio-Cheer-Sculpting is my passion, I’m spreading the love to you all through Studio LB. I want you guys to know that you’re really getting a piece of my heart in every calf pump and box jack!

Thinking of Valentine’s in this manner has made me release some of my cynicism about it. Letting that skeptical attitude go has been freeing and fun. If you’re like me and this Friday isn’t your fave, I’d suggest trying to channel your love differently and just forget about the pressure, flowers and candy. You’ll feel lighter more fulfilled, and loved. I love you guys! Xx
